Meet the Founder
Doris began her Pilates journey decades ago, taking mat classes after long days of teaching. Drawn to its physical and rehabilitative benefits, she returned to Pilates throughout her life. During the pandemic, she made a career pivot, completing her 750-hour classical Pilates certification through Village Pilates Studio in Forest Park. Around the same time, she took up tennis and quickly saw how Pilates enhanced her performance, mindset, and overall movement.
Inspired by the connection between functional movement and athletic performance, Doris pursued further training through Polestar Pilates, adding 500+ hours focused on restorative and injury-preventive work. After teaching at Village Pilates, she launched Elevate Pilates Fitness in 2025.
Located in the heart of Chicago’s western suburbs (Oak Park/River Forest), Elevate Pilates Fitness offers small group classes and personalized private, duo, and trio sessions. Doris combines classical Pilates principles with a modern approach to help clients move better, feel stronger, and thrive—whether in daily life or on the court, course, or trail.

Functional Pilates Elevates Fitness for Every Body Type
At Elevate Pilates, we focus on functional movements that enhance strength, mobility, and overall fitness. Our exercises are adaptable to any body type, age, or fitness level, offering transformative benefits such as improved core strength, flexibility, and joint mobility. These exercises help build deep stabilizing muscles, supporting daily activities from running to lifting.
Our program emphasizes core strength, stability, and posture, reducing tension in the neck, back, and shoulders. It also promotes joint mobility and flexibility, easing stiffness and pain, particularly in areas like the back, hips, and shoulders. By improving posture and alignment, we help increase balance and coordination, reducing the risk of falls while also boosting body awareness and movement efficiency.
